This Cookie Policy explains how 300WOD™ uses cookies and similar browser technologies across the platform, including Google Analytics 4, which is used only if you accept statistics.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage — browser-based storage mechanisms that can persist data within a session or across visits. These technologies are used to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and support the technical operation of the service.
CURRENT STATUS
Statistics Only With Your Consent
When you first visit 300WOD™ you are asked to choose: Accept all, Reject optional or Manage preferences. Statistics is off by default. Until you accept statistics, the Google Analytics script is not loaded, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. If you reject, nothing is measured.
If you accept statistics, we use Google Analytics 4 (property G-8SGWMN88F3) to count page views and understand how the site is used. Login, sign-up and payment work the same whatever you choose. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
COOKIE INVENTORY
The following technologies were identified in the 300WOD™ codebase:

Purpose: Stores acquisition attribution (source, campaign) from URL parameters
Expiry: Session (cleared when browser tab closes)

Purpose: Stores your cookie choice (statistics yes/no), the time you made it and the consent version, so your choice is respected on later pages and visits
Expiry: Until you clear your browser storage or the consent version changes

Provider: Google
Purpose: Statistics: distinguishes visitors and sessions so we can count page views. Set only after you accept statistics
Expiry: Google’s default for GA4 is up to 2 years; we do not shorten it

Platform / hosting cookies
Provider: Rocket hosting platform
Purpose: Infrastructure-level cookies set by the hosting environment. Not directly controlled by 300WOD™.
Expiry: Per platform provider

COOKIE CATEGORIES
Essential for the platform to function. These include authentication session management, referral attribution and hosting infrastructure. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Used to remember your settings and preferences. Not currently in use beyond what is covered by Necessary technologies.
Google Analytics 4 page-view statistics. Active only if you accept statistics. Off by default and never used after you reject or withdraw.
Advertising and marketing tracking. Not currently active. If introduced, consent will be requested before activation.
TECHNOLOGIES NOT IN USE
The following tracking technologies are not currently active on 300WOD™:
- Meta Pixel / Facebook Pixel
- Google Ads / conversion tracking
- Google advertising features, remarketing and personalised ads (switched off in our GA4 configuration)
- YouTube embeds with tracking
- Social media share buttons loading third-party scripts
- Marketing automation tracking (HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.)
- Advertising retargeting pixels
- Cross-site tracking technologies
- Hotjar or similar session recording
YOUR CHOICE, STORAGE AND WITHDRAWAL
- Accept all and Reject optional are equally easy to use. Statistics is off unless you accept.
- Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage key 300wod_consent_v1) with the time of the choice and the consent version. If the purposes change we ask again.
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie Settings” in the footer of every page.
- If you withdraw, we stop sending measurements to Google and delete the Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that this website can delete. Cookies set on other domains or already collected data cannot be removed by us from your browser or from Google.
- Necessary cookies (login session, sign-up, payment) stay in place and keep working whatever you choose.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4 — PURPOSE AND DATA
Purpose: to count visits and page views and understand which parts of the website are used, so we can improve it.
What is collected (only after you accept): a pseudonymous browser identifier stored in the _ga cookies, the page address and title of each page you view, a timestamp, and technical data Google collects automatically such as browser, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address and referring site. We restrict the page address sent to Google to the path and basic campaign parameters (utm_*); other query parameters and fragments are not sent.
What we do not send: your name, e-mail address, health, training or payment data. We have switched off Google advertising features and ad personalisation in our GA4 configuration. We do not send server-side purchase events to Google Analytics.
Google as processor: Google processes this data on our behalf and may transfer it outside the EU/EEA, including to the United States. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Retention of event data in Google Analytics is set in our GA4 property; the cookie lifetimes are listed above.
MANAGING COOKIES
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block and delete cookies. Note that blocking technically necessary cookies (such as the authentication session cookie) will prevent you from staying logged in to 300WOD™.

OTHER NON-ESSENTIAL TECHNOLOGIES
Apart from Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent), no other analytics, advertising or marketing technology is used. If one is introduced, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before it loads.
