SINGLE-LEG GLUTE DRIVE MACHINE
Custom Training: Single-Leg Glute Drive Machine. One controlled movement out and back counts as one repetition. Train both sides equally for unilateral variants.
HOW TO PERFORM
- 1
Use a machine that permits stable single-leg work and keep the pelvis level with a light manageable load.
- 2
Drive through the feet to extend the hips while keeping the resistance secure across the pelvis.
- 3
Lower the hips slowly without losing the torso position.
THE STANDARD
Custom Training: Single-Leg Glute Drive Machine. One controlled movement out and back counts as one repetition. Train both sides equally for unilateral variants.
COACHING CUES
Finish by extending the hips rather than arching the lower back.Record the displayed resistance or added plates consistently; pulley ratios and starting resistance differ between machines.
COMMON MISTAKES
Letting the load shift or overextending the back at lockout.
